Space Clearing
Space Clearing is the art of bringing balance and harmony to a dwelling.It will give your home a lift at any time, but there are a number of instances when it‘s especially helpful.

When the energy of a room has been balanced feelings of wholeness, peace and integrity will result. Wholeness is a necessary ingredient for health and well being.
Present day "Space Clearing" techniques have their source in ancient techniques practiced throughout human history. The methods and tools have varied from one culture to another, but the intent has been the same - to create harmony and balance. In native cultures, the village shaman would perform special ceremonies to consecrate a new home or village lodge. Native Americans used drums, rattles and burning herbs in their rituals. The Chinese used gongs, chanting, and incense. In Medieval Europe, salt and prayers cleared energy; and in the Middle East, smoldering resins such as frankincense and myrrh were used to invite blessings into the home. The Chinese still set off firecrackers at the beginning of the New Year. They believe that the loud noise breaks up the old stagnant energy and prepares the way for fresh new energy to flow in with the coming of another year.
After a clearing, occupants of a dwelling feel healthier, happier and more at peace.

Each Space Clearing is unique and individually tailored to your preferences and the needs of your home or office. There is no one best method. Each has it‘s own beauty; however there may be specific tools or techniques that resonate with you. Your own intuition will be the best guide to select techniques that will produce the greatest results for you.overall intention
The most important aspect is your intention. Where intention goes, energy flows. Take some time to tune into your inner wisdom and ask yourself what you‘re hoping to achieve from your clearing. For example, if your intention is to fill your home with love, the energy created by your Space Clearing will activate love.blessing altar
A temporary blessing altar will be set-up at the front entrance of your home. It sets the tone and is a physical representation of your intention. You may select objects that are symbolic representations of the hopes and dreams of all the occupants of your home to place on this altar. Examples of objects would be rice for abundance, a red rose for love, a candle for inner light.preservation
There are several ways to preserve the new and radiant energy that you will call into your home with a Space Clearing. Just as plants need to be carefully tended in order to thrive, energy also needs to be renewed in order for it to maintain it‘s healing power.- Place a small stone near the base of a healthy plant. Write a powerful word, wish or symbol on the stone in waterproof ink.
- Write your prayers on a piece of paper which is buried in the soil of a healthy plant. Each time the plant is watered, the words or symbol will be energized.
- Set up a permanent home altar. In ancient times, almost every home had an altar. It was traditionally placed by the hearth, or the heart, of the home and was the place where the family communed with the Divine. It can generate energy that can keep an entire home balanced and clear. When you meditate at your altar the original thoughts and intentions for the Space Clearing will connect you to the energy of your home and revitalize it‘s power.
